Calibration

We offer our customers the additional service of a single-point, radiometrically-correct calibration of a thermopile detector.

This calibration takes into account the individual detector’s responsivity performance, the spectral transmission of the window, and encapsulating gas. It also includes any options such as internal aperture and different package hole size.

Detectors can be calibrated to our standard 500K Blackbody source traceable to NIST for reference. See Certificate of Test (PDF) . For an additional charge we can calibrate to a Blackbody temperature of up to 1000K. 

Cost: Calibration using the standard 500K Blackbody is ten USD ($10) per detector element. A multi-channel detector is multiplied by the number of channels.

Calibration using a custom Blackbody temperature of up to 1000K is fifty USD ($50) for the first detector element and ten (10) per detector element thereafter.  A multi-channel detector is multiplied by the number of channels.
